from members to officers...
Welcome to our DECA Website. While starting a Hospitality and Tourism Academy in Miami 11 years ago, I decided to incorporate DECA into that program. I have seen firsthand how DECA members develop leadership skills by serving as officers, committee members, and spokespersons, attending conferences, planning and conducting elections and meetings... When I moved to Bilbao, Spain 5 years ago, I brought the program with me and we have attended the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) each year since (except for 2020!). We are the first and only delegation in Spain to attend the conference

Meet our officers
My name is Antía Vázquez and I am president of Spain DECA. My main role is to supervise and help all vice presidents in their work. I am in charge of preparing all members for ICDC. I work closely with all officers in their individual roles, aiding to make the best out of the DECA experience for our members. Our main goal in Spain DECA is to help all members reach their full potential and develop skills such as leadership, critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity. We encourage all students to join DECA, it has been a life-changing experience that has allowed me to grow both personally and academically.
My name is Mariana Atucha and I am the Executive VP of Spain DECA. My main job is to advise the President regarding the rest of the officer team. I am also in charge of the Spain DECA merch and social media. I coordinate fundraising events and connect the DECA members to the officers. I prepare DECA members for ICDC exams along with the President. Joining DECA is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has made me grow personally and academically and is one of the things that has shaped me the most.
My name is Cristina Onzain and I am the vice president of finance. I have been part of DECA for two years now. I manage all of the finances and help organize the club at our school. I am also the DECA Junior coordinator at our school. This year, I have helped organize the Valentine's day basket, helped give out DECA pins and thank you cards, organized all of the DECA junior activities for them to do on Google Classroom, coordinated the Intuit competition, and reviewed the junior work to give them feedback.
My name is Adriana Ceniga and I am the VP of marketing. My main job is to promote DECA and the brand in the school and encourage students to join the club. I also help DECA members with their ESB projects and organize activities for the junior DECA members with the VP of finance. Joining DECA has been a life-changing experience and it has helped me grow academically and personally.
